How to Transfer PES Files to a Brother Embroidery Machine

Organize and preview the PES design on your computer first, then move the correct file into the transfer method supported by your Brother machine.

Brother PES Transfer Workflow

  1. Find the design in your organized library and confirm you selected the correct PES version.
  2. Check the design dimensions and make sure they fit the hoop you plan to use.
  3. Use the transfer method supported by your specific Brother model, such as USB media, compatible Brother software, network transfer, or another documented method.
  4. Open or preview the design at the machine when available and confirm the size and orientation.
  5. For converted or edited designs, test stitch when appropriate before using valuable material.

Transfer methods vary by Brother model, so always follow the instructions for your specific machine.

Keep the Master Library on Your Computer

Do not use the machine or USB drive as your only archive. Keep your full design library organized on the computer, then transfer only the file you need for the project. This makes duplicate versions and alternate hoop sizes easier to manage.
